Poinsettia Card & Candle
Here's another method for using stamped images with candles. For this one, I stamped my image directly onto tissue paper using Noir Palette ink and colored the image with my Prismacolor Pencils. Carefully cut out the image and then place it on your candle. Wrap a sheet of waxed paper tightly around the candle (with the image sandwiched inside) making sure it is flat with no wrinkles. I usually use a long enough piece so I can grip the ends of the paper with my hand to hold it tight. Next use your heat tool and heat it just enough to see the wax melt a bit...that's the fun part. Don't hold the heat on too long...just a little or the candle may warp. I used my paint pen to dab gold dots on the candle. Experiment with glitter to give it a fun look! I've burned candles like this with no problem, but take precautions just in case.
