Halloween Breakfast Treats - Ghost Toasties
Here's a fun way to serve breakfast for your hungry goblins for Halloween! Use a ghost shaped cookie cutter to remove the insides of bread slices. Place buttered bread slices onto a griddle or pan and pour egg whites into the middle and let them cook. You can make the ghosts stand out a bit more by adding black food coloring to some ketchup. Spoon it into a sandwich baggie and clip the edge to use it like an icing bag (or you can just use an icing bag...lol). Trace around the ghosts carefully and add the eyes and mouth.
My daughter thought it would be a good idea to toast the inside pieces and then make a strawberry jam sandwich. I poked holes for the eyes and mouth to let the jam show through.
Don't forget to add a rubber stamped tag for your breakfast buffet by using the stamp from the Bone Appetit stamp set from The Angel Company. Dress up the tag by adding ghost cut-outs. I used the Sizzix for mine, but you could also cut them by hand.
