Stamped Baby Shower Favor & Note Card

I found some cute little die-cut boxes at the dollar store and put together a quick baby shower party favor with a coordinating card. You could also stamp a bunch of the cards as Thank You cards as a gift for the mom-to-be.

These stamps, however, are on the discontinued list and are only available through tomorrow (Friday, June 26, 2009), but the Toodle Loo paper collection will still be available as it will be in the new catalog that is being unveiled at the The Angel Company Seminar as I type this blog entry! You will also find all the Baby Themed Rubber Stamps at my TAC e-commerce site.

I used my Scor Pal to create the embossed lines of the card and my Cuttlebug for the bottom piece with the embossed dots.

The colors in my photo are a bit off (the ribbon isn't really that dark). Here is a thumbnail of the Toodle Loo paper collection with the coordinating cardstock and ribbon. It is a much better representation of the actual colors. It is such nice paper that I only have scraps left...which is all you need for this project!

Stamped Fabric Ladybug Hat

I'm always on the lookout for things that I can stamp on. Hats, bags, shoes...you name it. I was thrilled to find a plain cap to embellish for my daughter. This set is perfect for stamping on fabric because it has a bold image.

Created with The Angel Company Rubber Stamps:

Squiggle Ladybugs
Noir Palette Ink
Dries Clear Fabric Glue

The hat and silk flowers were from my local dollar store and the ribbon was from my stash. I used the Dries Clear Fabric Glue to adhere the ribbon to the hat, but I used my hot glue gun for the flowers. I also used some fabric paint glitter on the ladybug spots but you can't see them very well in the photo.

Taking Nothing for Granted

My mom died of ovarian cancer many years ago. Last year my sister and I both discovered we had ovarian cysts. We decided to have hysterectomies and prayed that we wouldn't get the dreaded "Big C" diagnosis. We were fortunate that our cysts were benign, but I'll never forget what it felt like like when I thought my life could be cut short. My mind was racing for days wondering what my fate would be and what would happen to my family after I left them. It was a reminder to me of what is truly important in my life -- my family.

This photograph was taken before we went in for surgery. I remember wanting to get a picture of us together before we got any bad news. The sentiment from the More Abundance stamp set seemed fitting for this photograph!

Autumn Swirls Altered Frame

I picked up a plain frame at my local dollar store a while ago and figured it was time to see what I could do with it. I stamped the frame using Burnt Sienna ink and colored in the leaves with my Copic Markers. After I did that I wanted to add the "Fantastic Fall" sentiment to the frame, but it didn't show up very well because of the design. I decided to stamp the sentiment onto clear acetate and then I very carefully heat embossed with clear embossing powder. I trimmed around the sentiment and then stuck it on top of my "mistake." It's a bit crooked, but it's there to stay...lol. I did use a bit of metallic rub on to the frame, but you can't really see it in the photo.

Yes, that is a photo of my children taken a couple of years ago in 2006. I remember it like it was yesterday (sigh).

Holiday Stamped Gift Tin

Here's an inexpensive gift for someone that enjoys baking or you can fill it with cookies for the non-baker! A "Cookie Mix in a Jar" would complete it.

Supplies:

Ornamental Snowflakes
Ginger Joy - Vintage stamp set available until November 30th.
Staz-On Cotton White Opaque Ink
Icicle Stickles Glitter
Merry Wishes Paper
Metal Tin (I got mine from the Dollar Tree)

Here's a tip for stamping on rounded surfaces. Cut up one of the plastic containers that your unmounted stamp set came in and use that as your acrylic block. It will allow you to bend the stamp around the tin.
